Podcast: A podcast is an MP3 file that you can download to your iPod or iTunes. This file can also have visual pieces. A podcast can be anything from a news show to the latest information in the tech world to the latest show on comedy central.
Your Task: You will be creating a podcast as a group and broadcast it to the class.
You are responsible for the following: I Love Men
1. Using Garageband, you will create a 3-5 minute podcast that emulates a 1930s era radio show (ex. Amos and Andy, Lone Ranger, etc.)
2. Storyboard layout with multiple images that will appear on your podcast.
3. Narrative of your show (Type written)
Radio Show:Below are examples of radio shows from the 1930s. The first link is the famous War of the Worlds show featuring Orson Welles. The second link has over 200 Amos and Andy shows that were broadcast from the 1920s to the 1950s.
Phase I: For Homework, listen to one of the above radio shows and respond to the discussion question. In order to do this you must click on the discussion tab at the top of the page.
Phase II: You must create your own radio show from the following genres: mystery, comedy, drama, or adventure. Your radio show must have the following elements:
1. TWO advertisements during the show
2. A musical introduction (you may also use music throughout the show)
3. An original title for the show.
4. A clear beginning, middle, and end.
Every group member MUST play a role in this recording. You will have class time with computer access to work on this project.
